Cost: Free Kids Athletics is a 6 week 'have-a-go' style athletics programme where primary and intermediate school aged kids have the opportunity to try a variety of athletics activities in a non-competitive environment. Activities include running races, long jump, high jump, agility games and ball skills. Attendance is free and casual so there is no need to book in advance. Registration is done on site, near the bleachers. There is a sausage sizzle and drinks for sale on site. It was too risky to try to plan our largest and most beloved event, the Bayswater Halloween Trail. But we still wanted to provide some fun for our local tamariki and we weren't quite ready to put the BHT to bed completely. So our team got together and had a brainstorm, and decided, why not have the trail in Autumn like we always see in the movies? April felt so many months away that surely we would be back in a safe alert level by then... Alas, Omicron Due to the current outbreak, our plans for an unconventional April Halloween Trail will have to be parked and we will return to our regular schedule of Halloween in October this year!
