1st Devonport Scout Group
Give your son or daughter a great start in life - join the Scouts! There are four youth sections: Keas, Cubs, Scouts and Venturers. They all meet weekly during school terms, with plenty of outside activities organised too. Keas - for ages 5½ to 8 years old (school years 1-3) meet Mondays 4:30-5:30pm or Wednesdays 4:15-5:15pm Cubs - for ages 8 to 11 years old (school years 4-6) meet Mondays 6:00–7:30pm or Wednesdays 5:30-7:00pm Scouts (11-14) and Venturers (14-18) are a natural progression from these younger groups. All sessions are run by a team of qualified and committed volunteer Leaders, who mentor a youth-led fun and rewarding programme that builds self-reliance and teamwork, leadership, strong values, and skills to be active in the outdoors. Ngataringa Organic Garden (NOG)
Ngataringa Organic Garden is a community garden located in the heart of Devonport, at 27 Lake Rd, Devonport (opposite the Recycling Centre). NOG is an organic garden, operated on a plot allotment system, with plot custodians responsible for the care of their plot and the garden as a whole. The NOG Committee overseas the running of the garden, and organises regular working bees, social events, and workshops. Navy Museum at Torpedo Bay
