Devonport Lions Club Community Fundraising
The Devonport Lions are collecting used and unwanted eye-glasses to be sent to impoverished countries for distribution by their local Lions Clubs. Glasses can be dropped at Devonport Optometrists at 85 Victoria Rd in Devonport during normal business hours.
The  Lions are also collecting scrap metal and lead-acid batteries as part of its community fund-raising.   Please contact them by email at DevonportLions@gmail.com.  Thank you for your support.

1st Devonport Cub Pack – spaces available
Give your son or daughter a great start in life - join the Scouts! There are four youth sections: Keas, Cubs, Scouts and Venturers. They all meet weekly during school terms, with plenty of outside activities organised too.
Keas - for ages 5½ to 8 years old (school years 1-3) meet Mondays 4:30-5:30pm or Wednesdays 4:15-5:15pm
Cubs - for ages 8 to 11 years old (school years 4-6) meet Mondays 6:00–7:30pm or Wednesdays 5:30-7:00pm
Scouts and Venturers are a natural progression from these younger groups, continuing the carefully staged development in their programmes with plenty of badges and awards to earn along the way. All sessions are run by a team of qualified and committed volunteer Leaders. They deliver a fun and rewarding programme that also builds self-reliance and teamwork, leadership, strong values, and skills to be active in the outdoors.

Devonport-Hauraki Justices of the Peace Service Desk at Devonport Library
When: Mondays (except on Public Holidays), 12 noon to 2:00pm
Venue: Devonport Library, Victoria Rd, Devonport

A local Justice of the Peace service is available at Devonport Library to certify copies, take Statutory Declarations and Affidavits, witness signatures and the many other tasks Justices can undertake. This is a free community service and no appointment is necessary.

Devonport historical museum is located at 33a Vauxhall Rd, on the Mt Cambria Reserve. It can be approached from Church St also. This is a voluntary museum  collecting, curating and displaying items and information about local history. We provide information plaques for public buildings and homes. A satellite display of Devonport in World War One, relating to the war memorial, is upstairs at 3 Victoria Rd.

The Calliope Sea Scout Group has a need for Leaders to come on board to lead the planning and organisation of the various activities for the Sections they currently run.

Come along and make some new friends, share some stories, play some games. Approved ACC strength and balance exercises run every week for all abilities.
​Listen to visiting speakers, do some gentle exercise. Share morning tea and lunch with friends and so much more…..All for a nominal charge – transport can be arranged. North Shore CMA are also seeking volunteers at their CMA centres throughout the North Shore. Help needed with crafts / cooking / driving and other tasks. If you can spare a few hours to give back to the older people in our community they would love to hear from you. Ngataringa Runners meet weekly and sessions go for roughly 45 minutes. This free community group focuses on developing technique, form and endurance across all levels of runner, from beginner to experienced marathoner, in a supportive and friendly environment. All levels welcome.
