Devonport Lions Club Community Fundraising
The Devonport Lions are collecting used and unwanted eye-glasses to be sent to impoverished countries for distribution by their local Lions Clubs. Glasses can be dropped at Devonport Optometrists at 85 Victoria Rd in Devonport during normal business hours. 1st Devonport Cub Pack – spaces available
Give your son or daughter a great start in life - join the Scouts! There are four youth sections: Keas, Cubs, Scouts and Venturers. They all meet weekly during school terms, with plenty of outside activities organised too. Keas - for ages 5½ to 8 years old (school years 1-3) meet Mondays 4:30-5:30pm or Wednesdays 4:15-5:15pm Cubs - for ages 8 to 11 years old (school years 4-6) meet Mondays 6:00–7:30pm or Wednesdays 5:30-7:00pm Scouts and Venturers are a natural progression from these younger groups, continuing the carefully staged development in their programmes with plenty of badges and awards to earn along the way. All sessions are run by a team of qualified and committed volunteer Leaders.
