After School Club & Holiday Programme at the Devonport Community House
The Devonport Community House (DCH) After School Club offers care for children from Devonport Primary, Vauxhall, St Leo’s, Belmont, Bayswater and Stanley Bay schools. They collect children from school and provide afternoon tea.
Children are given plenty of variety - games, sports, art, cooking, and lots more to ensure a fun time each day from 3-6pm. One of the key strengths of the DCH After School Club team is their wonderful staff and volunteers, popular with both children and parents alike.

1st Devonport Cub Pack – spaces available
Give your son or daughter a great start in life - join the Cub Scouts! Spaces are available this term at the 1st Devonport Cub Pack, for girls and boys in school years 4 - 6. Cubs can move up to Scouts when they are older.
The Cub Pack is run by a team of qualified and committed leaders. They provide a fun and rewarding programme that also builds self-reliance and teamwork, leadership, strong values, and skills to be active in the outdoors. Sessions are either Mondays (6:00pm – 7:30pm) or Wednesdays (5:30pm - 7:00pm).

Devonport-Hauraki Justices of the Peace Service Desk at Devonport Library
When: Mondays (except on Public Holidays), 12 noon to 2:00pm
Venue: Devonport Library, Victoria Rd, Devonport
A local Justice of the Peace service is available at Devonport Library to certify copies, take Statutory Declarations and Affidavits, witness signatures and the many other tasks Justices can undertake. This is a free community service and no appointment is necessary.

Many people start to consider their housing options as they get older. For some people, as rates or rents increase and income levels go down, staying in your home of many years can become difficult. But there are means of help and support to enable people to stay put. Age Concern provides great advice to help you get the support you need or make an informed decision about your future housing options. Navy Museum Guided Tours
The Torpedo Bay Navy Museum offers fantastic guided tours with knowledgeable and friendly Guide Hosts. Group bookings are available seven days a week. Devonport historical museum is located at 33a Vauxhall Rd, on the Mt Cambria Reserve. It can be approached from Church St also. This is a voluntary museum collecting, curating and displaying items and information about local history. We provide information plaques for public buildings and homes. A satellite display of Devonport in World War One, relating to the war memorial, is upstairs at 3 Victoria Rd.
The Museum is open all year from 10:00pm to 12:00 noon on Tuesdays to Thursdays, and at weekends from 2:00pm to 4:00pm. Summer weekend hours are 12 noon to 4:00pm. Groups guided by arrangement. Entry is free. A small donation is welcome.
